What is the most effective method for Vray grass?

Hello everyone.

How can I apply Grass to a surface on Vray for C4D? Is with a plugin, Vray Fur?

What is the most effective method for Vray grass to use?
The Grass Kit 5 is full working on Cinema 2023, vray 6?

Many thanks

The best way is to scatter grass clods using either C4D build in cloner or the Chaos scatter tool. If you choose the C4D cloner don’t forget to set the mode to render instances or multi instance.
Here I have an example to scatter trees, for the grass is basically the same: https://youtu.be/t1-JGzkrPM4?si=1RyO7IRLY0XxhFVq
For the grass clod you can use whatever you want, there are also nice grass on Cosmos library.

Thanks Sirio76.

Hello @christina_nbrega There are multiple ways to create grass with V-Ray. You could do what @sirio76 suggested with the Scatter. You could use V-Ray Fur as well. It’s up to you to find the most suitable workflow for your scene.
Keep in mind that this is one of the things that can really increase the render time if not optimized correctly.

More about the V-Ray Fur you can find here: V-Ray for Cinema 4D

Regarding the Grass Kit 5, this is a plug-in that has been created to work with V-Ray and Cinema. However, we do not have any control over it. You might be able to get the answers of your questions if you post here: Grass Kit 5 for C4D (VRAY, REDSHIFT, CORONA, PHYSICAL) - V-Ray for Cinema 4D :: General - Chaos Forum
