I get this random warning when trying to save a scene. It actually saves the files but randomly shows this message every other scene save!? This is not a I/O network issue as all other apps are fine. When first installing anima it shows the network shares with ‘x’ but the shares are present and accessible. You can click through to the drives. something is not right with this app.
The availability and management of the file system (including the network drives) is not controlled by our application but by the Windows OS. The Anima app can only ask the OS to save or load files, then it is Windows who actually handles that request.
The fact that the network drives appeared with an “x” at some point actually explains why you could not save there at that moment. Something happened at the OS level that made those folders unavailable for a while, and that caused the error to appear.
There are multiple reasons that might cause such behavior. For example, some NAS drives (like Synology) can temporarily stop sharing their content if they are not used for a long time. When you try to access them again, they may take some time to wake from a sleep state, and sometimes that can cause Windows to show them as disconnected for a while.
