We’re looking into the new Intel 2600K cpu’s but struggling to find mobos for it that supports at least 24GB Ram
As I understand these things need tripple channel Ram, so then can we get 24GB tripple channel or will it be an odd number like maybe 20GB Ram or 28GB Ram?
Any suggestions? Maybe something in the Asus, Gigabyte or Intel range?
as far as i know, 2600K supports dual channel only
ok then what mobo with 24gb dual channel?
youd have to use 6GB mem sticks…are there any on the market? havent looked…
the best approach is to look on the mem producers sites , find the right stick and the use their compatibility list of mobos

A few month ago a did a search but unfortunately the biggest modules are only 4GB so the maximum amount is only 16GB.
Don’t you mean 32GB mainboards? As far as I know there aren’t any 24GB boards for the 2600K. In fact, the entire 1155 series mobos won’t have 24GB. There are plenty of 32GB boards though. They are equipped with 4 memory slots (dual channel).
Also I don’t think 6GB memory modules actually exist? All you could get is 3 x 2GB modules (tri-kit) to get to 6GB but they don’t work with 1155 mainboards since they are triple channel.
On 1155 mainboards I think you should be able to run 24GB by using 2 x 4GB and 2 x 8GB to fill up the 4 slots. But you should really check the specs of the particular mainboards to see if such combinations are supported. This really depends on the brand and type of the board. 8GB modules are really expensive though, not to mention very hard to get at the moment. Most stores over here (the Netherlands) don’t even sell them right now…

OK yes I didn’t know they are only dual channel instead of tripple, but 16GB will be fine.

Yeah, I have been looking at some of those military grade components as well. Looks very good and particularly interesting for us where those components are usually under a lot of strain.
That board looks pretty awesome (IMHO) 
yes looks very nice, and neat! 
Although it looks neat, i dont find it very practical. I put one of those together recently for a friend. Cant imagine all the dust hiding behind all that plastic. I think its just marketing.
Instead i would just go for p67a ud5 from gigabyte plus some 1600 mhz corsair sticks 4gb each will give you nice 16.
It also overclocks quite well.
I have to admit that the sabertooth has the greatest bios ive ever seen! Was really impressed!
I think Asus Maximus IV Extreme is better choice than sabertooth.
