When using Render farm all nodes are kicking in except for 1.

Hello all,

We have 5 render nodes. When I distribute to them all they all kick in except for 1. The 1 that is creating a problem starts up and then releases giving us this error: "[11:53:55.042] Server 172.28.9.98:20204: Render completed

[11:53:55.043] Render host render5 (172.28.9.98:20204) released because there is no more pending work"

I have included the log file.

Are you using a render manager with DR, or do you render on your workstation with DR? Do you have the VRAY_NUM_THREADS environment variable set? If you’re using the Bucket image sampler, have you changed the default Bucket width/height values?​

Almost sounds like you are using bucket rendering and the bucket size is too large thus leaving no remaining work after one bucket has already been assigned to each of the other CPUs.

Try a bucket size of 16 or even 8 with DR.

DR is very inefficient given that we still don’t have bucket splitting with DR. We need this, Chaos.
