White Mode video export issue

I’m running a project where I’m going to do some white model and render transitions. The video export where none is selected exports fine with no issues and looks great. As soon as I try white or polystyrol there seems to be a lagging effect on the video. See attached screen shots.

Anyone else encountered this @Demian_Gutberlet @Clemens_Musterle thought I’d tag you in this one straight away.

Attached the video files to look at. https://we.tl/t-jA25zrRQrS

Any thoughts or help on this would be great.

Have just sent log files as well

Thank you very much @hbc_visual for the clear examples and the report in general, it is always appreciated.

In this case this seems to be the same behavior also seen in the example video shared by another user here:

As per that thread, i was already able to receive the scene and have forwarded it to our developers, which also means they will be looking into adding improvements/fixes with our next service pack ideally to counteract this.

Last but not least, if you’re able to please feel free to furthermore share this specific scene + camera path with us as well (via wetransfer.com to share the created link through a DM) so that I can forward it to our developers working on this specifically too. Of course only if possible, but if so thanks a lot once more in advance!

Hi @Demian_Gutberlet thank you for the speedy response on this one for me.

So if I’m understanding, there isn’t a solution right now for this, I saw a comment about disabling Ray Trace Shadows, this hasn’t fixed it my end so not sure there is a solution for my problem.

I will send you DM with the file and the path so you can test it your end, let me know how you get on with it.

Sent the DM

@hbc_visual Thanks for your report! It looks like a problem we’ve already had other reports on and which is currently being fixed. Unfortunately there’s no good workaround I can offer at the moment. It seems the problem doesn’t show without the white mode in this scene, as the bounce light isn’t as bright in this case.

Good news is that we plan to release a Service Pack soon which comes with a new denoising solution for video captures, which solves those issues as well.

@hbc_visual we’ve just released a Preview version with our new denoising solution (enabled automatically if you’ve enabled the NvDenoiser setting). But we’ve included also a fix to improve this behavior without it enabled.

Hi @Clemens_Musterle thanks for the update I will give them a download and test when I get a chance and let you konw of any issues.
