wich file's format to save

Hello guys,

Since some time im confused in wich format type to choose when saving my renders. Sometimes i get very bright images in some specific format type like .png while jpeg seems to loose some quality. I dont use photoshop yet, so what is the best format to save? the image should be opened in any pc without the use of specific software.

Above this i have another problem that may be connected to the last one. I recently bought a dell qhd IPS monitor and render images look great but when i open the same image in a regular TN monitor it goes very bright. Is this possible to fix?

First of all, what is the purpose of your renders? Should they be showed on the monitor? How? Offline or on a website? Printed? Edited?

What applications are you using to view your images on both monitors? This sounds like some issue with color profiles.

Hello Maru,

Sorry for no response for some time.

I have have now managed to fix my first issue about the gamma correction. About the monitor i’ve been searching for a solution and got it a little better now. Changed profile in the Dell monitor.
