will 3dsmax take advantage of the 64bits with athlon64+xp64?

or do we need a new 3dsmax capable of handling the 64bits? i´m asking because I am going to buy one in the future.

You must wait for a new max with 64-bit code. You can use the actual max, but you don take advantage of 64-bits. Vray must be ported to 64-bit too
