hi guys,
really need your help,somebody knows what the source of this problem - these annoying color waves on ceiling,mark with red color,
when i am doing post production in Photoshop,increase contrast,get this problem stronger,
how it possible to get rid off this or avoid this from appearing?

hi, nice renders 8).
dear chaos, i have no definite answer to your color waves problem, but i would try change color mapping (I suppose that current is HSV exponential) than i would increase subdivs of light sources, or maybe that color waves are caused by insufficient lighting. Or just try to increase quality of render’s setting.

when i was getting this “side effect” of color waves,i used rectangular lights with saving them in IR map and method of saving time with high resolution render - when you don’t render finaly,just creating your IR and Cache maps,then use them for final render saving render time.when i uncheck “store rectangular lights with IR map”,i succeed to get rid off these color waves,but this method of saving time doesn’t work
you get this in 5 hours :slight_smile:

You could also trying adjusting your HSph. Subdivs of your irradiance map (I usually use 150 for final renders)

*edit: I like your 4th image best by the way. They all look nice - good work on the lighting!
