[WIP] My kitchen

Hi guys… this is the 3° day i’m working on my real kitchen… soon other preview

C & C are welcome!

Wow . Nice modeling - It is promising.
Can’t wait to see the rest.

Some updates, still a lot of work to do!

Please, someone can help me?? This error is driving me crazy!!!

how much memory do you have in your machine?

1,5Gb percydaman

looks to me like your running out of memory. if you have a meshsmooth modifier on everything then try setting it to 0 and see if you still get that error.

I’m trying  I let you know what happens…

I noticed that error is even the same (ccp 1587), but the object is never the same…for example ‘line06’ or ‘line12’ or ‘maniglia’ …

Ciao
Valerio

keep it english please.

Percydaman…you’re right!!!
It’s been a big temptation to speak italian…sorry for that!
My answerawas that you’re right when you say that probably was a ram problem. I use PC with only 1 giga and it happens sometime: I obtain that error.
My suggest is to change the parameter in the raytracer setting, turning up the value of “leaf” (i can’t be more precise, 'cause i haven’t max under my eyes) that is at 2 at default until the ram usage remains under control…naturally this will increase time rendering…:frowning:
Bye
Valerio
(and sorry for my english!)

also try lowering the “Max tree deepth” to below 60…that will use less memory but render slower…

I fould that that solved many of my memory shortage problems w/ unhandled exeptions…

buona fortuna

paul.

Hi guys, thx for your advice but they doesn’t solved my issue… i tried to raise up face/level coef until 100 (maximum), i tried to lower tree depth but error still remains. I’m going crazy!!! I can’t render my scene!!

Just for test i switched to mental ray renderer and all goes fine!!! So i switched to default renderer and brazil 1.2 and ALL GOES FINE!! Damn!!! Only with 1,45gb occupied!!! Why vray needs so much ram???

I tried also to defragment my hard disk, disable hypertrading but without success… i tried to delete some object in the scene and even the same!! I tried to merge in a new scene some object and render and same this damn issue!!! I tried to disable meshsmooth… nothing!!

My kitchen is very detailed, polygn count is about 5m i don’t think this is the limit!!

What can i do??
Please help me!

maybe it’ll be completely incoherent but do you use win xp sp2 ?

i started receiving similar errors after sp2.

Hi stellar, no i don’t… I have winxp + sp1.

i dont know then. could you share the scene?

damn thats a lot of polygons! wish i knew a solution, sorry

Ohh!!! Finally the very first render and the very first light study!!

I had to delete many object in the scene in order to perform render…

however, just for fun and test, this is the image!
WARNING: low GI setting, low table, chair and forniture meshsmooth and low general setting 'cause this is just to see if render works properly… C & C are welcome!

I think you need to reconsider all the meshsmooth your using in the scene. The modeling looks toy like, or even like it’s made of clay.

If thats the look you want, then just ignore my comments. The lighting is coming along fine. Just use area shadows on your main light to soften your shadow lines.

Tony

i had the same problem in alln my projects , and i cant solve it without deleting hundered opjects from the scene ,
is there any help in this supject
