at web pages like this:
the user could simple copy the hex code of a standard design color to V-Ray, if there would be a input field. Could it be added? The VfR color field of the color slider shows a hex number at the tool tip - is this the same color code? So, maybe it’s quite easy to add a paste function.

Hex color format is used mainly in graphic and web design and is generally not in common use among CG artists, thus we have no intention to support it for now.
The color box tooltip, however, will be changed to display the current value in RGB format (0-255 range). Thank you for pointing this out!

My design clients use the RAL color system often and I could copy the colors per hexcode from the RAL system pages quite easy. Maybe it’s something for german user only, but it could be very useful here. For now I will type the three RGB numbers color by color.
