Won't render at all- v.1.48.89

Hey-
I just upgraded from the 1.48.66, and I took a file that was rendered with that old version, and added to it some dirt layers.
it won’t render and there is a message-

"We have encountered error(s) whilt tryong to render
Please check the error log for more details"

So I went to the “vfs_stderr.txt” and the last line sais:
" argument 2 of PyVRay.DefStringParam() has an invalid type"

what does it mean??

I tried the usual things : closing and re-opening SU and cleaning the model using the debbuging tools but none of them help. any suggestions?

I see you posted this question months ago … Did you find any solution for it ?
This error is driving me crazy.

did you try upgrading to 1.49.00?
