Please enable AI to assign grain direction to length by default on any “painted” surface. if a stick is 1 1/2" wide and 33" long, do you really think it’s going to be made with the grain direction running in the 1 1/2" direction? This is a massive time suck, re-orienting wood grain, and something that seems perfect for AI. Manual re-orientation would still work, but you would not have to use it as much. you could couple this with my previous idea of end grain recognition, but that might be a bridge too far. The only people who think AI is going to take over the world are those who don’t use it. Still a baby.
