It’s been almost a year since this idea was posted, and we’re really looking forward to using it in our animations and 3D projects. Having a shadow catcher is extremely important for compositing. Please implement this soon. All the new features are great in Vantage 3, but all that I’m waiting for is a shadow catcher…please please please please please!  
Possibly a quick work around - allow us to create a simple white floor, for instance, and then allow that material to be overlayed onto the background. Instant shadows and reflections on our background! It would help so much. Again, PLEASE!
