Ive concidered looking at it but still uneasy about having to pay a monthly fee…
Which explaines why Ive been playing Guildwars since last feb.
Is there any “preview” type events in WOW similar to the Guildwars events where one can build a character and do a quest or two to see what its like before buying?
I’ve basically quit the game, other then to log onto my 19 twink and have a lil fun now and again. We’ll see what happens when the expansion comes out, but my hardcore raiding days are over!
Apparently the trial is on FilePlanet.
I do happen to have a 10 days code for the EU servers, if someone wants to pop in.
Syclone i’m an old guildwars echo renewal nuker, a bit disenchanted about it, while still loving the mechanics…
WoW is an entirely different breed.
You can, and will have enormous fun doing so, play solo.
There is no need whatsoever to grind until 60.
You are encouraged to party with 4 other people to tackle dungeons and instances, really really fun from very early on.
From level 20 onwards (say, 4-5 days of play during the trial. got to 20 in three days when i restarted on the EU server.) you can start PVP against the other faction in battlegrounds: capture the flag, hold the spots and so on.
And by the end of the game, when you reach the current level cap of 60, you will NEED to party with parties
That’s a raid.
30 people that have to work together for HOURS to get to the bottom of a massive dungeon with scary boss at the end.
Do NOT play the trial.
Or paying the montly fee will soon be the LEAST of your issues.
Percydaman im also on Burning Blade but on the horde side. Ive PVP’d u a few times in the past ;). I was wondering what the odds were that someone elsewould call themselves that name… had a feeling it was you.
Ive also got 2 60’s on there, 2 55’s on dragonblight and an army of 30-40’s between various servers
Theres also a Natty (with some alt variations on that name) on Burning Blade and i was wondering if that was the natty from here who has been quiet recently also.
LOL sounds good Lele, tkx for the info and Ill definately pm you when I get some free time to sit down and give wow a honest try. Ive pretty much maxxed out in GW with having all 8 classes at L20 and all missions finished in Tyria and Canthia as well as having 15k armor on all my toons but its still fun helping in PVE and PVP and starting some GVG now…
Me and my best in-game mate as Duo in front of a boss than normally kills a party of 5.
We were level 41 (me, portrait on top) and level 42 (priest, him, the stocky chap).
Normal mobs fought at our level had maximum 2k HPs.
Check the panel to the bottom right for her stats…
Oh, we finished the mana potions befor entering, so we were left with silly healing ones only.
Percy, know what i mean, yes?
more girls then guys? care to provide proof of that? I’ve played with a few girls, but the ratio I’ve seen is probably around 10 guys or more for every 1 girl.
Very true, Percy.
One downside of the cute cartoony graphics is the amount of KIDS that play WoW, particularly as hunters, so they can have a pet.
Most guilds on my server refuse hunters right off the bat: too many twits running bear pet first into instances, and aggroing the whole of it with a smile.
You might be confused by us treehuggers and the pink city, as the funny humans and dwarves call it.
There sure are more girls in WoW than in BF2, or UT2k4, but not MORE girls than boys in WoW:smile:
