wrong rotation texture with color correction map

Hi, i’ve found a problem:
1) create material and click show shaded material in vewport with material selected
2) insert a bitmap in diffuse (ex. wood texture)
3) insert a color correction map between bitmap and material
4) if i rotate the bitmap in W value (ex.90°) in viewport seems rotate 2x 90°, in render 90° right.
if you connect bitmap directly to material it’s all ok.

Can you solve this bug…if it’s a bug!!

thank’s

Hi,

It works fine here in a simple test, can you show a screenshot that illustrates the issue?
Thanks.

if you connect the output or directly the bitmap to the diffuse the orientation is the same in the bviewport and in the render.
The output map between color correction and material is a trick that i found for bypass the bug…

you have to click show shaded material in viewport from material and not from texture…

I’m afraid I can’t reproduce this here, at least not in 3ds Max 2012. If you have a scene where it does not work, please send it over.

Best regards,
Vlado

Nevermind, I could reproduce it. This has nothing to do with V-Ray and you will get the same result even with a Standard material and the scanline renderer. The issue happens only if you choose the “Show shaded material in viewport” option, but not if you choose “Show realistic material in viewport”.

It would be best to report this to Autodesk.

Best regards,
Vlado

ok, thank’s…i’ve post the problem at this link

ps. vlado i’ve send you an email…(PROBLEM_script for turn on/off all texture in viewport), your private message is full…
