Hi!
Have you tried to play with falloff material?
Mare
Hi Stafford
Looks like Mare beat me to it, I was going to say the same thing. only I wanted to try it myself. The results are below…
Sorry about the subject (I do interiors), not quite up to Animal Logic’s standard but if you want the scene I can email it to you.
Dan
Please, could you post your material settings?
Regards
Oh, I forgot, the material has some glow added in ‘effects’.
Thanks, Daniel. Very useful

thx, I tried it… I put this shader in a belnd material with a neon. I think it will be work
You could use raytraced reflections with absorbtion instead of transparency. We used a blend material that mixed between a glassy vray material and a self illuminated standard material, with a falloff map in the mask slot (I was part of the team on the XMA show).
Sorry, double post…
Adding vrayEdgesTex map, in specular channel…is also funny, for web or other applications.
cheers,

I am playing with Vraymaterial, to obtain the same effect… this, is one of the first trying.
Cheers,
Marco

If anyone is still interested in this subject here is a test using GI, which improved really a lot to the material.
