Ok, here is my situation.
I have an X2 4400 dual core processor in my home machine. Its nice but i have come to the point where i need more POWER!!
Any ideas of what is around or about to be released?
I would be happy replaceing my mobo as well.

It is the most powerful CPU out ATM… but word is AMD are meant to have something out sometime… could be later this year tho.
isnt there a price reduction for amd?
possibly.. but still wouldnt compare to the whopping that the conroe is dishing out.
Get yourself a nice dual 275 setup or something if you want to stick with AMD.
THe other down side of going to INTEL is you would need new ram, pretty sure the conroe uses DDR2

AMD 4x4 sounds interesting…later on this year
i am more then happy with my dual amd 285, and yeah you would need a case where you can use E-ATX Boards…i bought this little tower: Collermaster Stacker
