My first x64 computer is so slow.
When I use it for network rendering, it is 10X slower than a regular 3Ghz Intel HT computer with 1 gig.
It’s configuration:
Dual Xeon EMT64 2.8 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, Raid 0 with two HDD,Gigabit Ethernet, Max6, Vray 1.47.03
I don’t have any sofware works at background.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks,
Ismail
I checked and it was normal.
It is brand new and I could test is only with Vray.
It doesn’t work fast with other softwares either
even with photoshop…
And also network is so slow.
Thanks for the advice RErender.
maybe the motherboard is in need of a bios update?
yeah go to your start/program files/accesories/system and do sysinfo it should say your current cpu speed. Or when booting. Some times you need to specify the internal cpu frequency for your cpu to work properly because in bios it can be set to 100 by default. Look at your manual for internal frequency settings.
Thanks for advices.
I guess the problem was from my network settings (DNS). I couldn’t figure out exactly why but after changing log-in settings, problem solved. The only thing I couldn’t understand is the computer logs on very slowly. It takes five minutes. ??? But it is ok.. Runs fast now.
