XRef object with multi/sub material problem

Hello!

I have a little problem when i xref an object with multi/sub material on it.
When i xref it its looks perfect in viewport, but when i render, its look like every object or ID use the first slot in multi/sub.
I attached a test file. If anyone xref it, its looks same? (whole object red in this case)
Tryed other render engines and works perfect, only mess it up in corona.

Thanks for help!

Yes, here it looks like you described it. Xrefing the scene works, xref object not. Merging the xref material into the main scene gives the correct result. So it seems to be a problem with the xref material.

Good Luck

had to go with v-ray for the time being, sending 900 jobs to backburner manually was not an option

Grrrr, just came across this problem and it’s super annoying!
Need to finish a job with another modeler by the end of next week and all I’m getting is ID1 in the renders O_O

What do we do? Xref is the way to go for us, but the materials aren’t rendering properly :frowning:

EDIT: Figured We’ll have to rely on material libraries for this one. Save, package, open, merge back in…

I still have the same issue in Corona 1.6 :frowning:

Pretty annoying.

I want to fix this for 1.7

Hi,

The problem is solved in 1.7?

Thanks

hi, not yet, we had to move it back to v2
