ZDepth render layer not showing up in Nuke

Hello,

I am having an issue with zdepth passes not showing up in Nuke. If I save out a multichannel exr from the render buffer and bring it into Nuke the depth pass is there as expected. Once the scene is submitted to Deadline and I bring the sequence into Nuke the depth pass is empty.
We are rendering out a 16bit multichannel exr with Maya 2018 and VRay Next. Our Nuke version is 10.5v7.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I can’t manage to reproduce this behavior. Can you attach a simple scene? Does it only happen with a particular scene?

Please unchek multi-part exr and try again.

Hi Dmitry,

Thank you! That solved the problem. Is this a bug or intended behavior? We didn’t have this issue with previous versions of VRay.

I am not sure, I had issues with multi-part exr reading in older nuke versions at all.

Hello,
I have the same issue. How it’s possible then, to get multiple channels in one exr when it is not rendered as a multiExr?
thanks

multi-part exr and multichannel exr are different things. I think multi-part is used to optimize the pixels in different channels you do not need to use multi-part to get multichannel exr.

Ok thanks,
I found now the thread I need
