AXYZ model purchase

So now it's harder to just buy some AXYZ character models. I now have to purchase a subscription or get my client to and send me the models then cancel the subscription. Am I missing something? I only want to buy 3 models.

LOL...yeah I see what you mean now. What are they thinking? That is just stupid imo. Why does every company want to own you for life these days!?

Hmm...I guess you could try getting it for a month (if that is even possible) and downloading all of the content. Or even get one year's sub and do the same if a month is not allowed.
It seems like a stupid choice on their behalf though, as it encourages people to do that rather than gaining revenue from individual model sales, unless they somehow have
a system which renders those models unuseable if you don't have a sub.

It's a total joke. I subscribed for a month after speaking to chat. They said I could download the models I want and use within 3dsmax but you cannot pose the models in 3dsmax...it has to all go through the anima plugin. It's ridiculous! You used to be able to go to the AXYZ site, download a model, import to max and pose. This is a major step back in my opinion. Talk about making things harder for artists instead of easier. I'm really starting to be put off by Chaos and the way it does things!

Still, I guess if you can download the catalogue of posed ones then it may work out to be somewhat worthwhile.

I also would like to share my thoughts on the current solution, which I find disappointing. I don’t expect my feedback to change much, but I could be wrong.
We signed up for an annual subscription only to discover that you can’t collapse the model to a polys, unlike in the trial version. Fortunately, Chaos kindly refunded our payment.
I have no problem with the subscription, but I won’t use the plugin for static, non-animated poses. It simply makes everything more cumbersome and limits its usefulness.

I was also refunded by Chaos after realising that the character models could not just be downloaded and used within 3dsmax like you could previously when purchasing directly from the AXYZ website. I use characters for many projects and AXYZ characters were often my go to models but now that this has changed it limits things considerably for me so I very much doubt that I will be using this library in future.
