The possibility for the user who has the link to edit and make comments without having to register.
I find it very intrusive for a premium client to have to register in order to comment.

For folders, virtual tours, and individual images Link access can be set to "Anyone can comment" in Share settings.

Great, I didn't know about that option, I configured it from "comments" and unlocked the comments (unlocked), but it makes more sense from "link access", thanks

Locking comments is intended for discussion "freeze" and prevents new comments from being added regardless of "link access" settings.
