  • Am I going crazy?

    Hi all,

We're having to re-render a project we did about a year ago due to some design changes. Last time we rendered it out on the Chaos Cloud and everything was fine, however this time around I'm being told by the scene analysis that forest pro's boundary "Edge" mode is now unsupported?

Why is this? It was surely supported previously, because all of our renders appear to have had it on.

    Can someone clarify?

    Hello,

Are you using the latest V-Ray for 3ds Max update ? Some of the older V-Ray 5 versions had some issues with exporting Forest Edge and issued a warning, V-Ray Next worked correctly.

    Best Regards,

I'm on VRay 5.1 (which was marketed as VRay Next when we installed it?) at the moment.

Are you saying that although it displays an error, it will render correctly on the cloud?

No - the problem is in the export code. So if you are using a version of V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max that issues a warning - the exported scene will be incorrect and it will not render correctly on the cloud.
