  • AXYZ Anima 4D & chaos cloud

    Hi all,

I've just run a test animation render through chaos cloud and have had some issues with AXYZ Anima characters (can provide link to example if necessary). Basically the characters on paths all have walk movements, but don't actually move anywhere and the 4D characters mostly work, but the textures glitch every few frames.

I have contacted AXYZ about this who say that you're aware of these issues and that it's due to the way the .vrscene is generated on my local machine, and that you're working to resolve it currently. I just wondered if you had any idea when it's likely to be patched, or if it's already working on the nightlies?

I can probably hold off on rendering for a week or two, but at some point our client is going to want the animation and I am reluctant to go to other render farms, however I may need to?

    Many thanks,
    Chris

    Hello,

The walking but not moving issue is fixed in stable nightly builds starting with 31139 (https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/mai...e_5.2/20211209).
However there is another issue with Anima 4D characters, motion blur and cloud that is not resolved yet (will need some joint effort from us and AXYZ guys - work is under way).

    Best regards,
    Yavor

Ah great. Thanks for the swift response.

If I turn off the motion blur, will the 4D characters no longer have glitched textures?
