Credits without rendering ?

Is it some kind of delay to the display of renders? Credits are consumed before rendering on this job.

Hi Magnum_design,

The reason why Chaos Cloud charges credits while there's still no preview is because the cost also includes several other computing tasks besides the image rendering. These tasks are the time for starting V-Ray, loading the scene, computing the global illumination in the scene (preferably Light Cache or Brute Force), etc. And for animations these tasks could take more because of the number of frames. We have planned in our short-term roadmap several optimizations which should lower these costs for animations. Nevertheless please let me/us know if you find the cost for rendering this animation too large and we'll investigate if there's an issue which needs our attention and a credits refund.
