  • Cloud support of PhoenixFDFoamTex ?

I find it a bit difficult to see what is supported in the cloud-render, or maybe I just don't find the feature I like to use and blindly don't believe it. My scene contains things (That I had some problems with the last time I used Vray Cloud (Approx 2 years ago)
I have some ocean waves controlled by PhoenixFDOceanTex (Map in material, but also as a VrayDisplacementMod (ifier). The PhoenixFDOceanTex goes through the PhoenixFDFoamTex (but I can not find this in the support list). Do anyone know if it is supported and if not, why in the world do the cloud not just basically support what Vray contains of feature?

      Hi fredrik_stre,

Thank you for the follow-up! Glad it works now. In the last couple of years we made sure to add as much features as we could and be as close to V-Ray when rendering locally as possible. The parity between local and cloud rendering is a major feature for us. You can find detailed articles with supported features lists in the corresponding documentations for the respective 3D host app plugins. Please let us know if you find anything which is still not supported. There still might be discrepancies, and the reason for this is that we render with V-Ray AppSDK in the Cloud (it's like V-Ray Standalone) for which we need to export the scene first. This creates the differences.
