Hello,
I use Sketchup 2021 with the latest vray 5 + chaos cloud.
I frequently use vrscenes of assets.. cars, trees, grasses. As I like how compartmentalized they are compared to a proxy [vrmesh].
I am finding that in files with a very large number of duplicated vrscenes [aka components within SketchUp], often but not always arrayed using the Skatter plugin, will result in a long duration during "Analyzing Scene" step of uploading to the cloud.. say half an hour-hour depending on the project, sometimes even longer. Yet when rendering locally things start get going really quickly.. within seconds.
For a recent example I created a simple scene to test a series of meadow type grasses [vrscenes] as well find the right settings for composing them with Skatter. There are 5 different vrscenes of grasses which individually range in file size from 1-3 mb each (not including their textures, naturally), and the Skatter is resulting in about 2000 objects (render only mode). It took about 20+ minutes to Analyze the scene.
As a test I exported the file as a vrscene of the file size was only 2.5 mb.. that was a bit surprisingly small (I set skatter to bake-in the placement of the objects before exporting.
Is this seem as expected? Is there something I can do differently to speed things up?
