  • Credits ran out before frames could fail?

    I am rendering a job in the cloud that I have rendered before. I have had a lot of issues rendering previous jobs that fail but that is not too much of a problem as the credits get refunded.

    In this case I believe the credits got fully used up before the job failed. Previous credits used was 46 this time round is 220.

    The modification to the new version did add on 200 frames from 426 but how does this add up? Especially as took less time to render before it paused than last time!

    Hello,

    We have checked the logs of the job at Chaos Cloud side and there were issues related to the size of the scene. I have sent you additional information regarding the credits refund for this job in your support ticket.

    The additional 200 frames greatly increased the size of the exported scene. This has affected both the credit usage and the stability during the pausing of the job. We are already working on fixes that should optimize the rendering of larger scenes.

      Thanks for your help. I will have to keep scene geometry size and length of animation in mind before sending to the cloud.
