  • Render jobs stuck at 100% Upload

    Hi,

    After updating to the latest version of the Chaos Cloud app, my jobs are no longer uploading. Despite being small files (67MB and 99MB), they get to 100% upload but then just sit there indefinitely doing nothing.

    I'm hoping it'll be a simple solution, as I have a load of frames to set off and don't want to have to resort to sending them to another farm to get them out

      Another thing which would be extremely helpful for diagnosing the issue would be logs from your Cloud Client. They are a bunch of text files located at "%appdata%\Chaos Group\vcloud\client\log" with a date-and-time as a file name. You could send a log for a submission (or all of them, I would sift through them on my own) which was stuck like this.

        Hi Doychin,

        Thanks for your help. I've sent you a message with the job ID, but didn't see your message about the logs until after I'd sent it. Should I send another message with the logs attached, or upload them here?

            Hi, how did you fix the issue, I have the same one, yesterday worked fine, but today cannot start any jobs. doychin_atanasov Davers

              I managed to solve the issue on my end. Doychin suggested it might be an over-sensitive antivirus program. I noticed I was only experiencing problems with the system that was running Kaspersky Antivirus. I uninstalled it and switched to the default Windows one, and my problem disappeared.

                Hmm, I don't have Kaspersky, and I've rendered the same scene without problems yesterday evening, on the same PC.

                  Michael, you might be having a completely different problem. Do you want to direct message me a job ID and maybe logs from your Chaos Cloud Client? I will take a look and might be able to help you.

                    It appears that Michael had a somewhat related problem. It is characterized by the upload progress staying at 100% for unusually long time (more than 15 minutes in his case). And this is supposed to happen when one is uploading a slightly changed version of a scene which was uploaded and rendered in Chaos Cloud previously too.

                    We have ideas how to improve that and would do so in a new Cloud Client client version. In the meantime a workaround for anyone affected would be to delete all related jobs in https://cloud.chaos.com. Then uploading would show accurate progress but would probably upload more bytes.
