  • Can't get normal mapping to work

I have this simple test scene and there's a simple OGL normal map (Tangent Space) connected as such to a Vray Mat but no matter what I did, I couldn't get the normal mapping to appear. What am I doing wrong? The device type is set to RTX.

    I'm using a nightly build for Houdini 20.5 (vray_adv_62020_houdini20.5_daad2a5_22744_windows)

I also was not able to get the Vray Bump node to work as well. In the docs it says "Simply connect a material into the BRDFBump node to add additional bump or normal map functionality" It really didn't do anything at all with a connected GL Normal Map.

The procedure is not documented at all btw. I just had to use basic elementary and logic to get to this point... No documentation tutorial(s) on general texturing paradigm in vray at all... Just per node explanations. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

And as an FYI, here's the same thing in CPU mode I mean I'm aware that many render engines can't synchronize render device features (except for Cycles and Redshift), but this level of discrepancy is a tad too much imo...
