  • Rendering sections gives strange surfaces in white and black.

    Dear,
Rendering sections gives all of a sudden strange surfaces. The b/w surfaces are not in the middle of the section (blue), which is odd. F.e. look at the desk chair: not sected, but it looks like a section fill in my render.

I didn't change anything to my settings and this occured suddenly. I've tried anything within my knowledge and experience to solve this issue, but I don't seem to succeed. Is there anyone who can help me out with my project?

Also I see that there are a lot of edges in this model (1371 edges), although I group/compose everything. Normally my models are about 50 edges. Don't know if this has got anything to do with the first issue though.

    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Tanja

    Hello there,
Thank you for the provided information.
As my colleague Rosen Rangelov has answered to you in your ticket "The geometry containing all the walls, flooring, and ceilings has gaps in some places, and when a material is applied to the section, this leads to wrong calculations in the render. Please keep in mind that using a Section Plane on geometry that was not closed is not well defined and can result in unexpected outcomes. This is already published in our documentation."
    Thank you for your time.
