Can we please set a file type and options without setting an output path?

Currently (at least in SketchUp), I can't set a file type or file options unless I set a save path in my settings, but that gives me a bunch of files all named "render.png" or whatever I set for the save path name.

If I don't set a save path in my settings, I can only get an EXR and optionally a JPG.

I just want to set the file type to PNG without alpha and be able to keep my files named by scene. Note this is also a problem when I choose to save from the framebuffer (I can't get a PNG without alpha unless I set a save path in settings first).

Just for clarity, a screenshot. Basically I want these bottom options without the first one (they normally only appear when I choose a path first).

Thank you for this suggestion.
I have logged a couple of tickets based on it. (Enabling file type options regardless of file path input; Have file picker windows remember selected file path).
They will both be reviewed and if approved our devs will begin work on them.

If you have something else on your mind you would like to see improved in V-Ray for SketchUp or Chaos Cloud, please let us know!
