    If i have to see the landscaping i either use slightly directional plane light to mimic the sun or vray sun with very large sun size.
    But i try to avoid the HDRI as they rende long and adaptive dome light is still not sorted out as i still get artifacts.
    I just play with what looks good.
    If we only had lightmix man......:-/

      I have played out every scenario discussed here so far and my conclusion is. The best way for my interiors are lights in windows with a sky blue color (not portals). V-Ray Sky for the outside sun with a large diameter disk, V-Ray's default settings (minus 0 for render time), and real-world camera and light settings.

        Damn it...so should I go back to 10ish blacks and 200ish whites? Was thinking if you guys are back to this...like I wrote recently I'm still at 110 whites max, and 1 blacks.
