  • Villa in LA - WIP

    Hi,
here is an early WIP from a project i am working on at the moment.
I still have a lot of work to do on the greenery and interiors/materials, but i thought i would share to collect some C and Cs.
Here are two samples, one is graded from within VFB and the other from CORONA image editor.
What do you think so far ?
    Comments very welcome!

I prefer the right one also, the left one look too warm here.

the thing that instantly sticks out with the image, and a lot of images is the over use of the drip streaks on the walls...its like seeing the same texture. I've done it in some of my renders too...maybe need to dial it back a little. Same with the floor too.

            Francomanko:

right, you must be refering to the white metal plating on the sides and top of the roof probably? yes, i ll doo that its too stron there.

The paneling on the main "towers" is marble and there is no drip texture there.

as for the weathered concere floor ..hmm...dont knouw about that i have references here that look just like that i will probably keep that one as it is

I like the left one too. The right one is to green, especially grass at the bottom has unrealistic color to me. Left one seems more natural to me.

here are some progress shots, some initial flower bed ideas - i need to add some dirt and undergrowth to it so it doesnt grow out of grass.
the scatter is not final well as the final plant selection.

The streaking/weathering of stucco makes it look dilapidated, vacant, and forgotten. Coupled with fresh landscaping and new/clean garden furniture and a XX million dollar vista/view it all feels very disconnected.

I really like the latest renderings, just one thing is bugging me is that the flowers look to be growing right out of the grass, maybe cut some grass away in throw down some dark soil or mulch for the flower bed but that's me just being extremely picky. If the client is happy then thats all that counts
