What did you use for texturing this?
And just out of interest, do you have a german background?

As far as texturing, I setup two wood triplanar materials, one is a light natural wood and the other is a dark varnished wood. I then instanced them into a dozen or so VRayBlend materials that each had a unique mask I painted in Zbrush. This way I could adjust the look pretty quickly for the entire piece and the scale of the wood grain would stay consistent from object to object. I try to keep things as simple as possible
Not really, my dad's side of the family was german. My best friend lives in Stuttgart. I've visited him a few years ago and LOVED Germany, a very beautiful country!
