It's interesting to see how effective certain techniques can be. In shot 2 from the first post the "life" on the streets is very effective at first, especially combined with the reflections it creates on the towers. When you start focusing you see it's a google maps image (or similar) and lacks the 3d depth. Same goes for some of the roofs and the installations on them. But I'm surprised how well it actually works. Nice!

Thanks dean_dmoo Yes, there were shortcuts but I am and the most important the client is very happy with the results. For me the first impression is most important, you can have a tons of detail but it not necessary helps the image.
