  • Light Fixture Problem.. what else.. hehe

    Hi guys..

Got some serious prob with this fixture...
Can anybody help me out here.. did about everything you could imagine (I think).. I still get those blotches...
Saw the thread of Percydaman.. but I can't get the light outside the fixture with refraction on ????.. I got it right somewhere between testing and suddenly something got wrong and couldn't get it right...

This is what I'm trying to reproduce.

The spots are due to your modelling and the way you have gone about it . try to model it in a single mesh and use poly edit ..

remodeled and still got the problem...

                only 1 editable poly...

                What's wrong...
50 subs on light and 50 subs on refraction...

                  are you talking about me?

I work at www.thelaus.se in stockholm, sweden

my lamp i just an extruded donut turned into editable poly with a tile-texture (bump and diffuse). I dont think it would be any good in a close-up rendering.

                            hi
... give the model some thickness ... and use Irr map with Qmc .. seems to fix it.

                              Hiya..

Well.. I made a simple donut.. extruded it.. scaled top vertices and applied a tiles map to it with adjusted instanced map into refraction and bump.. MUCH MORE SIMPLE damn..
                              ehhehe thx everybody..
