  • Multiple RTX in one computer

    Hi all,

Maybe this is already asked before, but i couldn't find the answer....

We are converting from our cpu renderfarm (boxx) to gpu rendering.

Is one machine with multiple graphic cards supported?
    Will it work?

    Thanks,
    Patrick Goud

Sure, V-Ray by design uses as many GPUs as you have in the machine. You have the option to select which devices you want to be used for rendering. For example if you want to dedicate a particular GPU for viewport and monitors.

      Thanks for clearing this up.
We are thinking about putting 8 of these cards in a machine.

      Regards,
      Patrick

We have 7x 1080tis in office in one machine, works nicely with Vray Next GPU near 100% scaling
Other people are using up to 18 GPUs in a single machine with Vray, scaling works nicely as well

Thank you so it means my 2 1080 and getting 1RTX could work in SLI? Or without SLI?

You don't really need SLI for your setup
SLI should be enabled for NVlink to work(this requires 2 RTX cards)
