I posted this one while back, but it went through some major changes. I am posted because I tried some new color grading techniques and I would appreciate comments to see if it was successful.

Both interiors and exteriors rendered in about 30 minutes in 4K using CPU. I wanted to use GPU, but without the support of RAW elements and the lack of reflection on exterior glass, using NEXT, I needed them. Using GPU wasn't any faster on these, anyway.

I did catch that the marble table doesn't have a base after I rendered them out, but they pulled back the camera at the last second and that was when it was revealed.

nice job on the evening shot - glare is a bit much in that view and i also think the pool illumination and fire are too bright - i would light the pool from the other side and make the spheres in the casita invisible

Thank you. Those are actually the fixtures in the pool house

              Great renders!
You can get raw render element by dividing Reflection to Reflection Filter, etc.

              Best,

I used an HDRI to light both the exterior and interior.

Wonderful all of them, massive house. The gutters in the evening shot sticks out as very shiny.

I like your work, especially what your are doing with the vegetation.
but I have to be honest, the houses always look kind of flat and too perfect for my taste. I can't put my finger on it and say what it is exactly though...

I usually start with basic materials and I start adding detail if needed. I do add falloff reflection to most everything. Maybe some dirt.

                            Sure.
Why the falloff though, if I may ask?

Recently I make my materials 100% white in the reflection slot and then control the look through glossiness and bump, so they actually react to light stronger and accurately. Obviously sometimes you have to cheat.
Maybe it is just broader variations of the materials, as we talked about in another thread (imperfections) and more depth and variations of that. Like a varying displacement. Or slight rotations (just 1 degree or so) of elements..
You are building with Railclone, right?

I'll have to give it a try. I use Railclone for some things, but not often.
