To "chamfer" the corners you can add a VrayEdgeTex to the bump slot or add the material to a VrayBmpMaterial and add the VrayEdgeTex there. Also with the new update 2 you can add variable width to the chamfer with a map that multiplies, haven't tried the update myself yet but I think you can create quite realistic corners with this feature without modelling.
Edit: I just had to try it and installed the update. It's bloody brilliant
I added my guy back and I added some shadow on the back house gable. I think I am going to add a tree in front of the back house; it is too distracting.
They wanted a different crop. Of coarse render and post-production times. For you guys charging a flat fee per image, which seems to be common, would this be another image? I am not charging, but I probably should. They wanted one image that they can crop in two different ways, but it doesn't work like that.
there is nothing stopping them cropping the first image themselves. At least this way you will still have some sort of control as to how it is cropped to keep a pleasing composition and have a happy client.
