Why did you decide to take this approach?

I had to, because I had only a photo of a bed from client and he wants a room for that bed. The room should be simple but nice, main product is the bed only, so he dont want to overpay the room. So I prepared a scene and camera match to photo of the bed. Made a simple boxes for this bed to cast shadows. After that I took all that to PS, color corrected whole image and made shadows on the bed where they should be.

Its just model I did looooong time ago. And after some material adjustements for modern visualizations, I use them from time to time.

Initially I thought this was all modelled, which I couldn't quite work out...
I was going to comment that the bed didn't look real....or somehow odd - I think I was thinking the falloff material on the cushions just looked weird.
So in light of new info I'd say it just doesn't quite match in terms of....resolution?....or the camera blur...something...
Maybe a little sharpening on the photo would help but if they are happy then wouldn't bother

Thank you. I thought about sharpenning bed too, but it doesnt work very well. Picture here is shrinked from 5K. Full resolution image looks better.

Ah yeah that explains the slight blur I guess

You mean blur on profile image?

It's just it seems the blur on the composited bed image is relatively quite different to the blur in the modelled and rendered parts. That's probably down to the reduction from actual size, if the original is fine.
It's hard to say exactly but to me there's something not quite right - mostly with the fabrics.....maybe it's the darkness of the shadows in the photo - lightening them could seat it better maybe - also under the bed. Just a thought.
It still works as an image though, so if they are happy that's the main thing.

So I quickly did an example of what I meant with the shadows - hope you don't mind - I am currently quite bored
All subjective I guess, so feel free to ignore of course.

Shadows are the same in 5K of course. This shadow adjustements is just matter of what you like, if one like contrasty image or not. I correct photo as a whole so brightness and saturation fits in 3D. But no problem, I dont mind of course.

I only adjusted the shadows on a selection of the bed/covers and underneath, based the relative darkness of the room shadows
