Believe it or not, this is also a single-family house. I did this one a few years ago.

crazy. i read that the queen apparently has a "present wrapping room" in buckingham palace. probably a feature of some of these monstrous houses too , otherwise, what do you do with all the rooms?!

I like that the subject takes up 80% of the picture so you can appreciate the details. If I did anything I may back up 5' and localize some of the glare. Can you comment on the roofing asphalt shingle and ridgecap setup. Plus I haven't figured out yet masonry detailing like brick rowlocks have you? Your prolific.

For the asphalt shingle, it is just V-Ray displacement. On the ridge, I draw a line, offset from center, convert to poly, pick the short edges and connect, and then I pick the long edges and drag them down. You also have to get rid of auto smoothing on the poly. I move the ridge up, past the asphalt roof displacement height and add displacement to it. The brick, on this one I used substance bricks.

Hehe yeah it can be a bit like that, although I'm in the West Country and it's pretty beautiful around here....all sandstone and old. A lot of the standard stuff is dull but there are some great new builds.

I would love to see some photos of your area. I live in an area that has Summer homes (Lake Mansions) and comes this time of year, the population dwindles to a fraction of our Summer population. I worked on a home awhile back that ended up costing 15 million and they were to occupy it 3 weeks out of the year. The wife invited girlfriends over before the mile-long drive was hand paved with bricks, so she had it paved for her weekend party ($60,000) knowing it would be torn up the following week for pavers. It is on the market for a major loss from the construction cost. When you are wealthy, it is simply a tax write off, so it doesn't matter much.
