So a series of images produced for a Kiwi client using vray 3.6 and maya. They also wanted a 30sec anim which, having not made one for a looooong time, turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. My own fault really, but if I had quoted incorporating the cost of using a renderfarm service they would never have agreed on the price, so I had to suck it up to get the job. Wont be doing that again.
I have to say it wasnt a smooth ride with Vray with really long start times due to the proxies and the animated camera lightcache, but the main problem was using MASH for planting, just flakey as hell, crashes, scene corruption galore. Probably time to move to 3dsmax....come on vray universal license...hurry up already
Anyway.....
