      really fake, I projected a caustic pattern from a couple of lights. I think they are overdone a tad too much, but the client loved it.

            When you say project a caustics map are you talking about projecting a B&W image from a standard direct light as a projection? I'm asking because I am currently doing a pool and would like to try this technique. Thanks

              Any tips on the caustic lights? I just tried it and I am getting nowhere.

                Make a light...a standard one will do. Change properties to projector and input a bitmap/procedural and overlay it

                  This is the base render and rawlighting pass to boost the effect.​​​​​
                  The hardest part was getting the colour right, the client wanted a green pool. It was a fine balance between it looking refreashing rather than full of algae.
