    Hey!

I got to work on this landscape rendering for an online course I made on forest pack for ARI. I used mostly evermotion assets with some quixel assets in the foreground. The scene is mostly built with reference geometry so you can adjust a spline/sweep and the pathways, edging, garden beds and plants all update on the fly. This is the first project I used v-ray 5 for, I really loved it.

If anyone's interested in trying out the course- we're looking for 5 or so people to test it out for free, message me if you're interested! I just became v-ray certified trainer Our website is ari.school

Can I maybe suggest to tone down the red a bit on the site?
Go for something a little deeper red (or paler), not so heavy red against the white, hurts my eyes!
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

have to agree about the red I think you might have a tough time with your pricing too. Good luck though.

Yes, there is a strange 80's vibe on the site, but good luck! I just paid a lot more for a course, but unfortunately, I didn't learn much.

The image is nice, but it doesnt strike me as anything significantly further along than the tutorials available on the forest website. Not sure what it is that makes it 'advanced', re-using reference splines is covered under the basic category of the forest pro website.
You should find some way to communicate what the course is doing to set itself apart. More screenshots, a deeper description etc is needed. actually sell it.

I also just re-read your post and you said that you made it for a course, 'would have loved to spend more time on the foreground but ran out', and you're selling the course for $300. Does that mean you're selling an unedited 6 hour total working session for $300? i don't understand how you ran out of time creating an educational scene.

            Thanks for all the feedback!

We have talked about the red being a potential eye sore and seems like we need to address that. I look at the site often in dark mode on chrome and I think it looks much better, maybe we can change it to that.

Also thanks for all the feedback about pricing, this is helpful to hear, I'll pass this info along and we'll rethink this. We were originally working on starting ARI as an in person school in Brooklyn offering 3-4 week long classes, but when covid started we pivoted to try out an online alternative as well. We're thinking the live classes on zoom may be a better direction than pre recorded classes...

And to your point Neil- I guess I used too casual of phrasing...the course is definitely not an unedited 6 hour working session. I'll come up with a more descriptive representation of whats covered in the course and include more images and a video trailer.

            Thanks again!

Agreed on this, the red is too much
