    hmm, just messing with the vraydisp modifer,

    Is there any way to smoothen out the sharpness of the displacement?

    nice. does it represent anything 'real' ?

    wouldn't blurring the map soften the displacement?
    unless it's a procedural...

      na not really, it was originally a neuron that showed the pulsing accross the synoptic gap (so it initially had a microscopic look to it) then I decided I'd go crazy with the displacement,
      I am using smoke as the procedural disp, I may try bitmap.

        you could always bake the procedural which would allow you to blur it slightly. prolly make for faster rendering too.
