Very, very cool, definitely a ton of work. Did you do the entire thing by yourself? Like editing, animation, lighting, comp?
The only thing for my taste has toooo much camera noise, but thats probably subjective
Exquisite, as others pointed out, on so many levels.
Style choice, and *masterful* execution thereof; the subtleties in shading and lighting; the beat-perfect edit.
Doffing my hat, sir.
JonasNöll thanks! Yeah the initial idea with this project was to make a complete piece and work on all aspects of it myself to learn each of the processes. So I've done everything from modelling (except for some models in the exterior shot outside the house) through to final composite. I learned a ton in the process but I definitely wouldn't do that again! Colour grading I passed to my friend - film noise was his call, I like it but I hear ya its quite strong we were referencing 60s Kubrick films but also Boogie Nights and a few others, I think he did a great job. ^Lele^ Thanks so much! Nice to hear the subtleties get noticed. georgi.zhekov Georgi! Yes all fluid sims were done in Phoenix. Big thanks to you btw, pretty sure I hit you up quite a few times with Phoenix questions during development of this and you were always super helpful, I got that cigarette smoke rendering on GPU using the workaround that you showed me. Chaos Group should give you a raise
