    Hello everyone!

So I can finally show the work we did last year for AbuDhabi TV .
Last year in January I had the pleasure to work with Yara Media Team on this cool project.
The main idea was to create different locations then folding them, how cool is that!
I worked with other talented artists on the modeling and shading then delivering the scenes with basic lighting ready to be animated.
There were few technical challenges that we had to tackle and it was a great team effort to get this done, so thanks to everyone involved in this project.

    Producer: Nora Mahfoud
    Production Agency: Yara Media
    Director: Usama Alsharqi
    Art director: Mustafa Mezzawi

    Software Used :
3ds Max, ZBrush, World Creator, and of course rendered with V-Ray.

Some exclusive behind the scene images : ))
For the desert, I've created the displacement map in WorldCreator then used that in Max with some additional adjustments and smoothing . after that I did the bending in Zbrush.
The other shot was sliced using tyFlow-tySlice modifier which was way faster than Max built-in slice modifier.

Another thing that was challenging is to animate the bending with Forest Pack and Railclone in use which isn't as stable as you might think.
For that I had to do some RnD and tyFlow was a good solution.
You could download a simplified version HERE to show linking Forestpack with tyFlow ( Max 2020 is required).

The nice part of being a generalist that I work with very different kinds of projects which is always refreshing!

Yes, that's right it is Qasr Al Sarab.
We did it roughly based on some photos we could find Online, in addition to few videos and photos the team could shot there.
Railclone and ForestPack where life saving tools in this one and Vray render it like a peace of cake as always : ))

That looks equal parts fun and nightmare! Great results in the end though.

Awesome! I was part of the team that did original concept renders 15 odd years ago before it was built. It was a fun project. They also built a cool real physical scale model of the place. Wish I kept the fotos of that!
