    Well....I finally got access....hehe......A little intro.....My name is ....well...Eric
and I have been in the biz for a while now....I am an avid poster at the autodesk.viz forums so some of you may know me well. Just started using vray recently after owning it for a while now.......Getting the settings right, adjusting this and that......Still have a long way to go, but I am getting there.

Here is a little model I am working on........Vray Adv. 1.47 all modeling done in Arch Desk 06 and Viz 06, standard GI settings and Irad Map......Still need a lot of tweaking on these settings to know what I am doing, but like I said....Just getting started with vray......Comments are welcome.....

    Thanx all

hey not bad, but you have some lighting inconsistencies... You appear to have sunlight hitting the building but your site appears to be in shadow.

      Hey....Go Chiefs........

The grass I Photoshopped in a little bit, because I have not got the displacement grass down yet....I do not think I have the right maps and displacemaps and/or scale settings correct....Any help is appreciated on that.... Lighting has always gave me a headache......I am using one direct light from the right.

      Thanx

Hey Eric. I am wondering if you could post an image of how this comes straight from the renderer so we can separate the elements done in post.

This makes it easier to look at the lighting and offer some suggestions. For example the solid curved building on the left looks about right with light following the curve around, but the material for the panels on the parapet for the right hand side of the building looks a bit strange and if it looks like this straight from the renderer, i'd be guessing something with the material could be tweaked a bit.

I think you can make this building look great with a bit of tweaking. Hope some others join in on this thread to offer some suggestions (some awesome people regularly post on this forum such as percydamastah)

I am not allowed to post or repost any data regarding the "alleged" sightings at this base. I have heard the name Rimbaldi mentioned......

Move your sunlight out in front of the building, not overhead. And turn it down a bit - or change the material on the building, or both.

Many other problems here... but that is the biggest.

Work on the glazing and scale of everything.
