LOL! When I first saw the thread I thought it was "Power Point" Animation. I must say, this is really cool. Did you add the interlacing afterward or did you just use field rendering? It looks very real yet not real... You know what I mean?

whats interesting concerning the noise is that maxwell's noise doesn't flicker...it always stays at the same place so it isn't a problem for animations.
with vray's PPT the noise is random and makes it kind of unuseable.

You can control whether the noise moves or not with the "Time-independent" parameter of the QMC sampler. I'll post two animations a little later that demonstrate this.

Here is a link to an animation with the "Time-independent" option on (the default). Despite the bad compression, you can see that the noise pattern stays the same:

Here is an animation where "Time-independent" is off and the noise pattern is different on each frame:

actually i find when your noise is sticky like that it looks like a bad lens or something. where as the random noise looks more like 8mm film hehe

well it doesnt really look like film noise, either way.
but the static noise is still easier to handle i think. with higher settings it should be close to unnoticeable.

like in this very nice maxwell animation:
                http://www.keytoon.com/ourw/short02_...hort_cubos.htm

i don't think i would be able to sell clients random flickering noise in animations, unconcerned about technical limitations, they would ask me if i'm on drugs or something :P
